How do explain to people at work why I am not gone on vacation had been talking about for months?

bologna vacation
Robert asked:

I asked a question a late last week about going on vacation alone. Here was part of that post for details. Had planned a trip to France & Italy for 20th wedding anniversary. The vacation was to begin today and would last 20 days. Found out last Wednesday that my wife had a 3 month affair about 2 years ago. A mutual friend let the cat out of the bag and wife confessed and said it was a stupid mistake. That she was just going through some sort of midlife crisis (bologna) and that loved me very much.

After reading some of the responses here I told her to go ahead and go. She said didn’t want to go without me so I gave the tickets to brother and his wife and now they are gone on that trip. Instead of sitting around the house I went into work today and told boss that canceled vacation. Still want to get away from wife for a while to think but can not afford to go anywhere the planned trip wiped out most of savings. Could try and ask my brother for some of the money for the trip but it was more of a gift so as to not have the money be a complete waste. Also wouldn’t be able to do that tell he got back anyway. My problem now is been getting people asking me why I am back at work since had planned this trip for almost a year and now am at work instead of being gone.

Italy vacation: Two weeks – what should I see?

bologna vacation
Indy Mind asked:

I am a 35 year old American visiting Italy with my brother for two weeks in May. I enjoy art, good food, scenery and history – so Italy will be great. I only have two weeks though! I want to see Florence, Rome and Venice. I assume I can get away with 2 days at each. Besides that, which should I see of the following (the others on my wish list):

Siena
Dolomiti / Dolomites
Lake Como
Milan
Bologna
Umbria and Tuscany (mountain villages, etc)
Assissi
Naples (and Pompei ruins)
Amalfi Coast
Cinque Terre
Others that I have missed

Thanks!

Worried about my son’s eating Habits, or lack there of?

bologna vacation
Barbi & Logan asked:

My 18 month old son is eating very little. This has been going on for the last 4 days. I haven’t had a chance to talk to his Dr, she has been on vacation as well as the Holidays too.

He used to eat a good sized meal 3 times a day, with a snack after lunch and dinner, with 2 sippys of juice a day, milk for meals and lots of water too. But now I cant get him to eat hardly anything. Hes just been throwing his food on the floor or at me (cleaning spaghetti sauce out of hair isn’t fun either i might add). he throws a fit when i try to make him eat. Ive tried all kinds of new things, nothing works. I can get him to eat some gold fish and some Ritz Cheese Cracker Sandwiches, but thats it. I offer his regular meal first and he will sit in his chair for an hour not eating. He also wont eat meat, no hamburger, chicken, fish, hotdogs, turkey, bologna (which he used to eat all the time). His activity level is the same. He sleeps the same too, 9pm to 9am, nap time is 2pm to 430pm. He drinks lots of water and milk. He diapers have remained the same. (i cant understand how much comes out with as little as he eats! babies are amazing!)

Wondering if I should be concerned or not. Thanks. Im gonna try his dr again tomorrow too.
i only give him his sippy after his meals. otherwise he doesn’t get it , cuz i dont wanna play “pick it up, throw it down” lol :)

My dog (a chihuahua) refuses to eat any dog food I give him?

sqwigglz asked:

My dog (a chihuahua) refuses to eat any dog food I give him! He was always a finicky eater, and then I made the mistake of give feeding him human food when I moved in with my boyfriend and his parents. Soon it spiraled out of control and he was being fed hot dogs and bologna for is his meals. I never really liked it so one day I finally changed it. Sometime around June of this year I started only giving him dog food. He would refuse to eat it so much to the point that he would make himself sick because he didn’t eat and then he would throw up. So I started forcing him to eat. I would stick the wet food on the top of his mouth like peanut butter. Sometimes he would spit it out and other times he would eat it. Finally, he was eating his food mostly on his own, I still had to hand feed it to him, but he was eating it. Now recently since September, he has been refusing his dog food again. I have a feeling that maybe he might be getting into some food or the trash when I am not around. However, I’m not sure. He doesn’t even act hungry when he misses a meal. And if he ever doesn’t miss a meal it’s because I am forcing him to eat again. The same way as before. I have tried everything.

I tried leaving his food out for 15 minutes twice a day, nothing. Then, I tried leaving it out once a day, nothing. I’ve tried every brand of dog food out there I’ve seen in the stores, still nothing! I have patients and I will continue to do whatever it takes. Although I have plane tickets already purchased for my vacation and I am nervous that while I am gone no one here will have my patience and they will go back to feeding him human food if I don’t find a good solution that starts to work fast! My boyfriend says he won’t let him eat human food, but I am a worry wart and don’t know if my dog will eat otherwise. Please help!!!!

Should I go on vacation alone?

Had planned a trip to France & Italy for 20th wedding anniversary. The vacation begins next Monday and will last 20 days. Found out Wednesday that my wife had a 3 month affair about 2 years ago. A mutual friend let the cat out of the bag and wife confessed and said it was a stupid mistake. That she was just going through some sort of midlife crisis (bologna) and that loved me very much.

Now I would just cancel the entire trip but will lose the airfare and some of the deposits are not refunded-able. In addition I need to get away from her for a while to get my head straight. So its not so much the money, but it was/is a lot of money and would seriously hurt to just watch it go down the drain. It hurts so bad what she did and not sure will ever get over it but like have said need to get my head straight so thinking of still going. When I say still going mean me might invite my brother or friend to come but if not will just destroy wife’s ticket. This was suppose to be her “dream vacation” not that I was not interested in going to France or Italy but not on my list of dream vacations.

How to get a child out of a bad house?

bologna vacation
Mrs. Darcy asked:

Our neighbor is a horrible mother, her husband died of cancer and he even knew she would be a bad mom so he said in his will that if his wife couldnt take care of their little girl she was to go to his sister. Well the mom smokes pot every day, she does it infront of the kids, She used to have different guys over every night, now she just has the 1 boyfriend who has 2 little girls of his own that live with them. The house is a 1 bedroom shack that was being used as a house the fisherman would stay in while up vacationing. The boyfriend walks around ***** at night even tho the little girls are right there. The kids are forced to stay outside from the time they get up until bed time, with NO sun screen and only to be fed bologna sandwhiches. We have called children services so many times, and the last time they took the littlest girl to be examined and she had been molested. The mom said it was by her ex husbands sister (the lady is 60 yrs old and doesnt even get to see the little girl) Once we found this out, we were suprised to see the little girl returning home to the house. Before the mom had the boyfriend she would tell my brother and his wife (who lives next door to us and has become very attached to the little girl) that they could have custody of amelia as long as they paid the mom some sort of money.. we were shocked to say the least. But now that she has the new bf she doesnt say it anymore and when they mention it she says shes changed her mind.. the little girl is only 2 and refuses to talk.. shes had to overcome so much (was born premature and her father dying ) we just want whats best and i feel that the horrible situation shes living in is NOT whats best… any help??
